Language Glossary

I'm Pilipino!! I wanna learn Tagalog...  so I'm asking all my Pilipino pals who speak it to teach me! Same goes for Japanese...

So this'll be a list of terms I dragged out of those people; it may be more than Tagalog though.
^ ^;

Oh, note: I do not speak Tagalog, so I will most likely be mistaken in some parts...

Feel free to tell me of additions, corrections, or improvements! It'd be very much appreciated.

Tagalog terms/phrases:

Ano ang/ Anong oras na?- What time is it?
Ano ang/ Anong i(e?)dad mo?- How old are you?
Ano ang/ Anong pangalan mo?- What is your name?
Ano ang/ Anong sinabi mo?/ What did you say?
Buhok- hair
Hindi- no
Hindi ko alam- I don't know
KKB (kanya kanyang bayad[?])- Dutch style/ going Dutch/ Pay for your own (referring to eating out)
Kumusta [po kayo]?- How are you?
Langka- jackfruit
Mata- eye(s)
Matabang-bland
Me problema ako- I have a problem
O- or
Oo- yes
Pula- red
Puso-heart
Sampal- slap
Suntok- punch
Talaga- really
Tubig- water

Tagalog numbers/counting:
isa- one
dalawa- two
tatlo- three
apat- four
lima- five
anim- six
pito- seven
walo- eight
siyam- nine
sampu- ten
labing-isa» eleven
labindalawa- twelve
labintatlo-thirteen


Japanese terms/phrases:
Aka- red
Ame- rain
Aoi- blue
Itadakimasu- said before eating
Kage- shadow
Kiiroi- yellow
Kiritsu- rise
Shiro- white
Yuki- snow
